Church Survival

Many churches are getting poorer. From the point of view of the congregation members, petrol is expensive and the economy is bad. If one plays in the church band it is seldom that the church pays the band member and petrol for going to and from practice sessions can be very expensive.
Some have resorted to virtual church sermons (for example http://www.virtualchurch.com/ ) and some listen to church services over the radio.
Churches need to add value to attract people back to church and I suggest the following:
The priest gets people to join an internet group that allows them to buy and sell articles to other church members. Congregation members can tell each other before church what they want to buy or sell and then can sell to members of their congregation before or after church when they meet on Sundays by means of boot sales, for example.
One such internet group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/churchPE/

Church Idea to Help The World

Idea for a film that could help hobos, church people, etc throughout the world:
Idea: In the film the economy is going badly and people who had jobs find themselves on the
streets. They team up with hobos for security purposes and knowledge of how to survive on the streets. Eventually they get tired of begging for clothes and other things and one of them gets enough money to go to an internet cafe and forms a Y
ahoo! Group similar to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChurchCapeTown/ He also goes to a church and informs the priest about this Yahoo Group. The priest tells the congregation about it and many of the people in the congregation join this Yahoo Group. The hobos then post messages on the group about what clothes they need. Church members answer telling the hobos they have clothes and that they will give them out after church. The hobos get clothes and eventually have enough to sell to church members. They post messages telling the church members of cheap clothes. They also approach the priest who gives them space on the church lawn to sell their cheap clothes to church members and others.
People in the church also start selling to each other by posting messages on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChurchCapeTown/They have boot sales after church and so buy and sell without any additional transport costs. Many of the hobos eventually make enough to supply their basic needs and get off the streets.
